Reverence, 1989 ![]() Reverence represents two tails of whales diving into an imaginary sea of grass. After spending ten years on a site in Randolph, the sculpture was sold and moved 60 miles north to Technology Park as the centerpiece of a proposed sculpture park (see "Ammonite Fountain" which is also at this site). Carved from 36 tons of African black granite, this piece was recently chosen to grace the cover of a college art history textbook called "A World of Art" by Henry Sayre. A two page description of the piece and a CD-Rom containing parts of a video documenting its creation are also included in the book. Medium: Granite. Location: Burlington, VT This piece is accesible to the public. Click here for directions |
